Obituary of Marco Luigi Cortona

Marco Luigi Cortona, age 54, born on January 23, 1961 in Milan, Italy and raised in Larchmont, NY suddenly passed on February 16 in his home in Hanover, MA. He was the beloved son of the late Assunta (Tina) Cortona of Larchmont, NY. He is survived by his father Vincenzo Cortona (Larchmont, NY), his long-time companion Jean Hayes (Hanover, MA), his sister Alessandra (Paolo Rossi) of Brewster NY, his sister Paola (Port Chester, NY), his son Lorenzo (Italy), and niece Martina. Considered by many as a creative genius, his brilliance and unique talent to transform the ordinary into extraordinary inspired so many lives. He will be remembered for his enormous generosity in helping others, his fantastic cooking, and his legendary artistic skills as a painter and creator of beauty. Visitation Sunday 2-6pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY. Committal service Monday 11am at Ferncliff Chapel 280 Secor Rd Hartsdale, NY (Gate 1).
