Obituary of Mary Rita Townley-Bombace

Mary Rita Townley-Bombace May 22, 1925-January 7, 2015 Mary (89) passed away in New Rochelle on January 7. She was born on May 22 1925 in New York City and lived in the Bronx until she moved to New Rochelle in 1951. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Annette Townley (Linda), Anthony Townley (Vivian) and Joseph Townley (Kathleen); her five grandchildren, Andrew, Kayleen, Christina, Bethany and Nicholas; and predeceased by her sisters, Pauline and Kay and her husbands, Joseph Townley and Rocky Bombace. She was a beloved mother, sister, wife, grandmother, friend and teacher. She taught in the New Rochelle school system, touching many young lives with compassion and dedication. Visiting at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont on Friday, January 9 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM-9:00 PM. The funeral will be held at Holy Name Church in New Rochelle on Saturday, January 10 at 9:30 AM. Donations may be made in her memory to the NR Education Fund, P.O. Box 228, New Rochelle, NY 10804
