Obituary of Eric James Showers

Eric J. Showers, a longtime resident of Larchmont passed away suddenly on November 3, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Patricia, devoted father of Eric B. (Angela), James (Michele), Robert (Abigail) and Andrew (Annmarie). Loving Grandfather of Amelia, Isabel, Sophie, Lindsey, Louisa, James Jr., Andrew Jr., Caitlin, Emma and Robert M. Showers. Born in Chicago to Robert and Irene. He is a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka and Williams College. He served in the US Air Force from 1951-1953. In 1965 Eric married Mary Patricia Bank at Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains and settled to raise their family in Larchmont. He had a long career on Wall Street in Municipal Bond underwriting and sales. Eric was a member of the Larchmont Yacht Club for over 40 years and a member of the Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, New Hampshire. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont. Mass Friday, 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Augustine's Church would be appreciated.
