Obituary of Maxine S. Lyle

Maxine S. Lyle, 80, of Shrewsbury, NJ passed away on October 5, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Reading, PA and raised in Wyomissing, Maxine attended Penn Hall Preparatory School and Lasell Junior College prior to moving to New York City in 1957 where she worked for the English Speaking Union. A lifelong volunteer and devoted enthusiast of Early American History, antiques and decorative arts, Maxine was very involved with the Monmouth County Historical Association as well as the Delaware Antiques Show in Wilmington, DE and the Winter Antique Show in NYC. She was also very active in and dedicated to the Junior Leagues of New York City, Monmouth County, Wilmington and Baltimore. Maxine is survived by her son James D. Lindemuth Jr. (Leah Stackpole Lindemuth) of New York City and Kimberly L. Nicastri (Tom Nicastri) of Larchmont, NY. Her four granddaughters Olivia and Annie Nicastri and Caroline and Grace Lindemuth lovingly knew her as "Nain". A family burial will take place at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Maxine's memory be sent to Family and Children's Service, 191 Bath Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07704.
