Obituary of Keith O'Brien
F. Keith O'Brien 58, President of Lion Enterprises , an Internet Sales and Marketing Company, passed away at home in Mamaroneck, NY suddenly early in the morning on October 1st, 2014. from complications due to a heart attack . Keith had participated in a golf tournament at Leewood Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon which was heavily attended by colleagues, clients and friends. Leading up to establishing Lion Enterprises Keith as Director of Sales for Free Lotto and consulted for A C Media, Inc , and Globalizer.comt.com.
Keith is survived by his long time girlfriend Eileen O'Sullivan, his mother Joan Y. O'Brien, his sisters Jeanine and Joanne , brother Kenneth, brother in law Paul, and his loving nieces Sarah and Christine. He was predeceased by his father Francis Xavier O'Brien. He is also survived by numerous cousins and many loving friends and colleagues.
Keith, a resident of Mamaroneck, NY was born in Yonkers NY on April 8th, 1956, and was raised in Bronxville, New York. He attended Fordham Prep and Fordham University where he graduated in Political Science in 1978.
Besides his devoted attention to his nieces, Keith's passions were Rugby and Golf, and sports in general where he excelled. He won acclaim on the Rugby pitch with crafty play that usually resulted in his team being on the winning side of the ledger.
He was a three time President of the White Plains Rugby Football Club ( RFC) , a nationally recognized Division One Team, whose representatives have gone on to represent the United States International in international competition.
Keith was also instrumental in leading the White Plains RFC to tour internationally. Namely through Ireland, England, Scotland, Iceland, France, Hong Kong, and Zimbabwe.
After injuries curtailed his rugby career, he became acquainted with the game of golf - a game he truly excelled at. He was a Member of the United States Golf Association as well as being a member of the Metropolitan Golf Association . He was a single digit player and was lucky to play at the best courses from Pebble Beach in California to the newly created Jack Nicholas designed courses in China.
He was a tremendous competitor who usually left with "Other People's Money" in his pocket after a round!
Calling hours will be at The John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont Thursday and Friday 5-9 PM and Mass will be celebrated at Most Holy Trinity Church In Mamaroneck at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
