Obituary of Eleanor M. Goldman

Eleanor Goldman - January 8, 1918 - December 27, 2011 Eleanor Goldman passed away peacefully just a few days shy of her 94th birthday. Eleanor was born in Fall River Massachusetts. She moved to New York City in the early 1940s, then Westchester County in the early 1950s. She was active her entire life in the Democratic Party and worked tirelessly to help elect local, state and national candidates. She was preceded in death by her husbands Seymour Dennis in 1968 and Samuel Goldman in 1984. She is survived by her sons Steven (Sona) and Robert (Sheila), stepdaughter Anne Goldman, four grandsons, six great-grandchildren, sister Rosalie Trust and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear friends Elizabeth Ogden, Jane Field and Violet Stein. A celebration of her life is planned this spring in Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Westchester or the donor's favorite charity.
