Today I was thinking of my BMG colleagues who have left us. Stan was such a gentleman, so intelligent with a great sense of humor. He was always willing to answer any questions I had and helped me with my drafting issues. RIP Stan. Dorothy Schwartz

When I received my copy today of the Brooklyn College Alumni Association Bulletin, I was deeply saddened to see the notice of Stanley's passing.
I knew Stan from Erasmus Hall High School and Brooklyn College. Some years ago, I found him via the internet and we corresponded briefly. I am sorry that I was not able to see him.
He was an extremely intelligent person and I know he is soely missed. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

I was first introduced to Stanley when I began practicing law in the late 1980's. It was always clear that he was very smart and experienced and had the ability to identify and address important issues and not get hung up on minor details. It was not until more recently, as outside counsel to BMG Rights, that I began working more closely with him and discovered that in addition to his legal skills, he had a dry wit and great comedic timing. Most importantly, however, is that I learned that this was a man who had an admirable set of priorities and sense of self. In a business marked by boundless egos and strutting self-importance, Stanley quietly took care of business and took enormous pride in his family and life outside the office. Our many conversations would almost invariably veer to discussions about his kids and place at Sag Harbor and I could hear in his voice that these were his pole stars. I already miss those talks.

Stan - Such a beautiful person and a true gentleman. Proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of his Business & Legal Affairs Team at BMG. Feel so blessed to have learned so many things from him in such a short time, and not just about work but about what is important in life. He really cared about everyone he came in touch with and was one of the "good guys" in our business. R.I.P. gentle soul. Gone way too soon.
Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to his wife, children and family who he spoke of with such love and pride.

Dear Sue, Becky and Evan - Please accept my sincere sympathies at the untimely passing of Stanley. I respected him greatly. When I think of Stanley I am always reminded that he and I were in sync in our interpretations of literature when the rest of the group went astray. His goodness and astute nature will be missed. With deepest sympathy, Louise Cherkis

This to me is quintessential Stanley: happy, with the wife and daughter who loved him so (and whom he loved), at a place where he seemed to feel so at home. This is the image I choose to remember him by.
