Obituary of Fernande Hoctor

Fernande Hoctor passed away peacefully at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle on December 10th, 2011 at the age of 90. Everyone knew her as Nan Hoctor. Wife of Raymond, Mother of Raymond and Sarah, Grandmother of Brigid and Shane. She was born in Paris France on August 6th 1921. She came to New York in 1948 and considered The US her home ever since. She became a citizen a few years later. Nan was an accomplished private dressmaker and an amazing cook.She loved to travel including going to Hong Kong, Tokyo, The South of France and on cross country trips throughout the US. She had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. She was a strong working Mom that sacrificed everything for her children. She lived the American dream. Nan is survived by her daughter and grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on December 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sts. John & Paul Church 280 Weaver Street Larchmont, New York 10538.
