Obituary of Elaine Quinn McHugh

McHugh, Elaine Quinn. Died on January 7, 2014 after a short illness. Daughter of John and Florence (Sweeney) Quinn of Westerly and Watch Hill, RI, and New York City. She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Providence, RI, and Manhattanville College. Her dearly loved husband of 57 years, Richard Nevin McHugh, died in 2007. They moved to Larchmont, NY, in 1956, where they were long-time members of the Larchmont Yacht Club and she was active in the Junior League, Women's Club, and numerous other organizations. Survived by daughters Missy and Michele McHugh of New York City, Fern (Charles) Mountain of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Lisa Massey of Cohasset, MA, and Dee Butts of Wayland, MA; grandchildren Caitlin (Sean) Miller, Michaela and Jack Butts; sister Jacqueline Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Her sister Marjorie Quinn and brother John Quinn III predeceased her. Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Larchmont.
