Obituary of Valerie Deane

Valerie Deane, of New Rochelle, died late Thursday November 24th after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. Valerie was born on June 13, 1939, in New York City, to Mary and Gerald T. Healy. She married Kevin Patrick Deane on October 29, 1960. Valerie was a beautiful and lovely wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She truly had a heart of gold. Valerie was pre-deceased by her husband Kevin, the love of her life as well as her beautiful son Kevin who died tragically in 2007. She was loved and adored by her children and grandchildren. She was the "loveliest" person. Valerie is survived by her daughter Lauren and son-in-law Fred Schwarz of White Plains; daughter Allison and son-in-law William Bishop of New Rochelle; sons Colin and Sean of New Rochelle; daughter Erin and son-in-law Peter Howard of Northport; grandchildren Billy, Camryn, and Madeline Bishop, Michael and Caroline Schwarz, Madison, Kaleigh and Kevin Howard. Valerie was a beautiful person in every way, and all who were lucky enough to know her will miss her forever. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 Pm at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont. Mass Tuesday 10:30 am at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
