Obituary of Robert H. Petrocelli

Robert Petrocelli a long time resident of Larchmont, NY passed away May 25, 2013 at Sound Shore Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn on December 28, 1926 to Rocco and Gilda Petrocelli. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Tech, served in the Navy during World War II, graduated from Syracuse University in 1951 where he was a proud member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He married Rita Mastandrea in 1953 and moved to Larchmont in 1956 where they still reside. Bob was an active member of Sts. John & Paul church. Bob was an award winning art director and creative director for many advertising agencies, the last being Backer, Spielvogel, Bates. Bob was active with the Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America and Orienta Beach Club. Bob enjoyed collecting and printing with antique wood type and presses, playing bridge and tennis. He enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished his family and friends above all. In addition to his wife Rita, Bob is survived by his son Robert Jr, daughter in law Anne and grandson Christopher. Visiting is Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY. Mass Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Sts. John & Paul Church. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers donations to Syracuse University would be appreciated.
