Being the tall, lanky 'kid' that Kevin was, he reminded me of my son - also lost by his own hand-7 years ago now. I followed Kevin's personal journey closely for several years and have been encouraged for him and sad for set-backs. He seemed able to start again, to pull his energies and focus together again and re-embark upon a newly considered path ... I know of the darkness with which he battled, I know of his courage, I understand his exhaustion with all of it; I grieve his loss, I share his parent's heartache ... the world was a better place with him in it!
