I had the privilege of working w/Rachel on a few projects at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and the amount of kind energy and passion and care she poured into her work and, more importantly, the people around her, was truly incredible. Rachel was a special, thoughtful person who left a significant impact on the lives of so many. Grateful to have known her. Thankful for the positivity she poured into this world. Will miss her. God bless.

I was blessed enough to have Rachel as a neighbor, a friend, an emergency contact for my dog (because she understood me), a dogsitter and walker for Nellie when she needed it, a recipient of her amazing home baked goods including peanut butter dog treats (she didn’t judge me for trying one - she already tried them herself) - and for too short of a time, my colleague and fellow “health IT nerd.” She wore this badge proudly. I am at a loss for words. Our nerdy community here is at a loss for words, but I hope she truly knew that there are so, so many of her colleagues that will always remember her spark and bubble, and will miss her deeply. Keeping you and your family in our hearts.

This is so sad. I had the pleasure of being Rachel’s aide in kindergarten and 1st grade. She was a beautiful soul. Even though Rachel had pulmonary hypertension, Rachel wanted to do it all. She wanted to do everything the other children did, and yes, Rachel did. She was just a kind young little girl. My prayers to her family, and please know I will pray every night for her. Mrs McQuade or as Rachel knew me, Mrs. M.
