Dr. Blum and Family: What a wonderful heartfelt commemoration of her extraordinary life. Even the small fraction I previously knew was amazing. I don't know how we connected, but the connection was wonderful, beginning several years before Covid. She always had a positive outlook and uplifting comments. What a mensch! In this troubled world, we need more like her. May her memory be for a blessing to all she knew and touched, a number that is many fold the number of you. Alan Schlaifer

Dr. Blum & Family, I am so sorry to learn of Jackie’s passing. To say Jackie was my “Jewish Mama” is quite an understatement. In 2013, I met Jackie via Iona’s student employment website. With no mother figure, Jackie empathized and quickly became my Jewish mother and listener for the turmoil I was enduring. Jackie thrived with Zusia and made connections with thousands of leaders worldwide. I will carry the learnings Jackie educated me with for the rest of my life. Jackie epitomized graciousness, empathy, and a little bit of kindhearted stubbornness! I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the Blum family for sharing Jackie with us. Our deepest condolences to the Blum family. I Worked with Dr. Blum for Over 15 years and throughout those years, I’ve seen the children grow up into adults and manage to have an immense love for the family. I remember when I had my back surgery it was during Thanksgiving holiday and Dr. Volk sent Dr. Blum with a Thanksgiving feast for my family and for those things I am very grateful for and never will never Forget. So with this rest in peace, Dr. Volk.
