It was such an honor to have known Pat. While we were golfing friends she added a measure of joy and inspiration not just to our round of golf but to our lives as well. She was always upbeat and kind. Her resilience and fortitude were gifts to be admired.
I will miss her.

Dear Patricia, we are thankful to have known you.
Far too short though! We are convinced that your wisdom and legacy will spill over to your grandchildren. They know ”nana” will always be around to watch over and protect them.
Look after the balloons with greetings and pictures that will coming up to you.
Rest in peace Pat.

So sweet Tino and Harriet... I am sure she has collected those balloons that your Grandkids launched with your daughter's thoughtfulness and is sharing them with my father who only got to meet Kayleen in utero before passing...but he felt the quickening (movement in the womb) and his smile was a mile wide.

My memories of her start way back to when she was living in that tiny second floor apartment up near Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, then bigger houses in Bayside, then Tuxedo. My Mom and her were inseparable for years on end, and I tagged along because I loved Aunt Pat. Once, when she was very pregnant and I was very small, she was going shopping by herself, I nagged Uncle Roger till he finally agreed to go with her; a small victory for a small me. She was so smart, so funny, and her faith was clearly evident because whenever she saw one of her sons she would usually be saying "Oh, my God", or "Oh, for God's sake." We used to write each other letters, and she would tell me she wouldn't read it mine she had a cup of tea and some free time. She filled in for my Dad at my high school graduation, and I loved her even more for that. I never knew her to be unkind or mean spirited, and her death will leave the world a slightly darker, less fun place. May her memory be a blessing.

Not only were your mom and mine inseparable, my mom often spoke to me of how your mom (a few years her senior) became a second mom to her, helping her manage Roger and me as babies since my mother's mom passed on Roger's due date. She was 19 or 20 when Roger was born and 21 with me. I think without your mom's loving guidance my life, my siblings life and my mom's life would have been quite different and not for the better. Your mom was my mom's guardian Angel in life.

Thank you Pat for memorable adventures together including to the Holy Land, to Barcelona to join pilgrims on a cruise following the 4th journey of St. Paul around the Mediterranean, to Iceland to join a story-telling conference, to Tanglewood for a picnic supper while listening to Maurice Ravel’s Bolero performed by Boston Symphony, to Quebec via ship leaving Newark sailing up Atlantic Coast stopping at ports along the way and so many other fun times together. I know we’ll meet again in the sweet by and by, dear friend, for our greatest adventure of all. With love, Rosalie

The best mother-in-law you could wish for. I will forever be grateful that she came into my life and I will cherish all our wonderful memories together like making Swedish Midsummer wreaths, discussing knitting projects or just watching her being the most amazing grandmother to my children. I will miss you so much. Katrin

When our cousin, Roger, married Pat we knew what a lucky man he was. She was an angel, devoted wife and mother and as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. I know all my sisters would agree that she was a family favorite. Rest peacefully, Pat.

An amazing and inspiring woman. Strong, kind, intelligent, brave. Small in stature, enormous in heart. Always willing to help others, and a magical, Snow-White ability with animals. I will love and miss her always. A dear lifelong friend to my mom, and a cherished “aunt” (by friendship) to me. Sending love and prayers to her children and grandchildren— she so greatly adores and fiercely loves every one of you. A love like that, and the faith and strength she had, transcends death.

I remember when Mrs. Torpie came to visit Roger one year in college. She took us to see arlo Guthrie at the Chance. Right before that she took us to BJs or costco forget which and Roger filled up 2 carts full of "stuff". Mrs. Torpie wasn't the least bit phased.
