Waking up to your whistling and singing. Pancakes in the morning. Tons of hugs and pinches. You always called me your favorite girl. I love you and I know that you’ll continue to guide me in this life time. Thank you for everything and rest easy. I’ll miss you and it will not be the same without you.

I remember when i was 8 years old, was playing on a neighbor’s stoop, in Brooklyn, fell off the stoop hanging on a loose concrete flowerpot, it came crashing on my head and all I remembered was Thomas carrying me in both arms all the way to Kings County Hospital. And carried me back into the house when they sent me home. Never will forget. I also remember he used to play the accordion all the time and sing, of course, Greek music. I also remember Thomas before i came to live in Brooklyn. We met in Venezuela, when it was a great country, spent a-lot of time with my father and my mother’s brothers. Lots more to tell in between. Thomas was around many of my years. Bless you Thomas - Rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I can remember the times we were together whether we met at ShopRite or Christina’s house. You always greeted me with a warm smile, a funny story and of course our private joke about «το παιδί». Rest in peace and your memory eternal.

Dad
I still can’t believe you’re gone it won’t be the same walking into the house in Greystone Ave. You were the last one left. Even though we didn’t always see eye to eye on everything we had a pretty good relationship. I remember when we were younger and you use to take us to the park to play baseball and the one time I slipped and fell and got mud all over my pants and you made me sit on a card board box you found as not to dirty your car.
And the many times you took us fishing and us not wanting to wake up at 5am. You also had your stubborn streak at times. Im going to miss seeing you at the table reading your newspaper doing your sudoku and playing solitaire As much as I’m going to miss you at least you’re not suffering and in pain anymore. You are all together again with family and friends. I imagine you all sitting around a poker table playing cards once again Rest in peace Dad.

Donta bende dee khads, vrai!
Lots of love and gratitude to Uncle Tom. I have many great memories, of great conversations, great smiles, and your great sense of humor. Uncle Tom was very giving with all that he had.
I’ve never seen a more worn out deck of cards than Tom’s solitaire cards. Only Tom would cheat in a game of solitaire.
We took Uncle Tom fishing on a charter boat for porgies. We told Crissy and she asked if he brought his hard boiled eggs with him. Guess, who’s sitting in the corner of the ship’s cabin with a pile of shells at his feet?
There is a poker game in heaven waiting for you with some of the greats!
I had a chance to say my last words to Uncle Tom a few weeks ago, while he was in the hospital. I’m glad he heard me, because his response was one only he could deliver. “SOUVLAKI! To Kanis Morri” Over the phone and with all that was going on… I know he was smiling.
Lots of love to Uncle Tom, Prayers for peace and strength to all of the Drakopoulos’s and our extended family.
May your memory live eternal!

I will alway remember his handsome smile and kind heart. I’ve know him since I was 7 some 60 plus years ago and have so many fond memories. I thought is very unusual Tom played the accordion, I thought only Polish people played the accordion!
May his memory be eternal and his soul rises to the heavens.
With love,
Joann (Jo-Jo) Liadis-Krajewski
