Martin Bruce "Marty" Goldberg Obituary

Martin Bruce (Marty) Goldberg, 80, of Marlboro, NJ, passed away on June 21, 2024 in New

Rochelle, NY. Marty was born in the Bronx on December 7, 1943 and raised in Flushing,

Queens by Fay and Murray Goldberg. He graduated from Flushing High School where he

lettered in handball. He went on to earn a degree from Queens College and later attended St.

John’s University. He was an executive at Pathmark for over 30 years, where he met the love of

his life, Iris (Malkin) Goldberg. They married in 1967 and spent their lives together in New

Jersey.

Marty will be remembered for his love and commitment to his wife and family, his eternal

optimism, his sense of humor and his ability to obtain tickets for any event at any time. He

enjoyed gardening, football Sundays, a rare steak and a good party.

Marty is survived by his children, Jennifer and Jose Reynoso and Melissa and Ilan Weingarten;

his grandchildren, Nate, Michele and Colin; and his brother Arthur Goldberg (Karyn), as well as

many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Iris Goldberg.

The funeral service will be held at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont on June 23 at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery at 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ.

Shiva will be held on Sunday and Monday from 6p-8p at Jennifer and Jose’s house at 14 Clover

Road, Larchmont and Melissa and llan’s house at 65 Briarcliff Road on Tuesday from 6p-8p.

Donations in Marty’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Montefiore

Hospital in New Rochelle
