Obituary of Sharon A. Tartaglia

Sharon Tartaglia, 72, passed away on December 28, 2023 with her family by her side.

Sharon was born in White Plains, NY on January 8, 1951 to John and Margaret (née O'Donnell) Varvaro. As one of six girls, Sharon grew to appreciate the bond of sisterhood and the love for her kin; she fostered unique and special connections with each and every one of her five sisters. After college, Sharon went on to teach first grade at St Joseph's in Bronx, NY where she found great joy encouraging her students to be the best versions of themselves and building a classroom to provide a place for education and creativity.

While teaching, Sharon met her husband of 45 years, Joe Tartaglia. Sharon and Joe shared a devoted and loving marriage, and together raised their two girls, Kate and Leigh, in New Rochelle, NY. Nothing gave Sharon more joy than her family. She was incredibly proud of her two daughters and over the moon to welcome her two grandchildren into the world, Kingsley and Finn, with Kate and her husband Mike.

Sharon was so innovative and expressive. She was ahead of her time with her artistry and style. With her keen eye for design and creative vision, Sharon enjoyed many years of interior design in Westchester, NY. With glamour and grace, she gave her kind heart and loving hand to all those that she touched as 'Aunt Sharon, Mom, Mimi and Mrs. Tartaglia.'
 

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
