Obituary of Frances A. Cunningham

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Frances (Penny) Cunningham of New Rochelle, NY on Thursday November 9, 2023.  Born in Manhattan on September 20, 1940.  She was raised in the Riverdale section of the Bronx by her beloved parents, Frank and Mary (McGettigan) Dorrian.  Penny was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years Gerald Cunningham.  Penny and Gerry resided in New Rochelle NY where they raised their family.  Penny was the devoted mother of Peter Cunningham (Jarmila) of New Canaan, CT, Ann Marie Albano (Vito) of Mt. Vernon, NY, Kimberly Cunningham of New York, NY and Laura McMahon (Vincent) of Somers, NY.

Penny was loved and adored by her six grandchildren: Ciara, Jenna, Aidan, Chris, Liam and Gabriella.  She is survived by her sisters, Mary (Sr. Genevieve Marie) Dorrian and Peggy Dorrian.  Penny was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Dorrian.

Penny was a graduate of Pace University and worked at US Trust prior to raising her family.  Penny and Gerry travelled the world together and spent many wonderful years wintering at their residence in La Quinta, CA.

Penny will be waked at the Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont NY on November 14 from 4-7 PM.  The funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle, NY on Wednesday November 15 at 10:30 AM.  Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
