Daniel Reich mattered to me. He tried. He put in to our world. He made part of a net of life, a place to live with your heart forward in New York. He accomplished such a wonderful thing for the culture of new york, for artists, for the soul of all of us. Its a brave thing to venture out and try. Daniel was a success at what he was up to. He was acknowledged for that, he was a 'contender.' He leaves a legacy of goodwill and spaciousness in which to continue humbly forward. He is missed.
