Obituary of Louis M. Garofalo

Louis M. Garofalo, 84, of Larchmont, NY passed away on August 9, 2023 at White Plains Hospital. Louis was born and raised in Larchmont, NY to Luigi and Teresa Garofalo on October 11, 1938. He attended Mamaroneck High School. He worked as a letter carrier for the Larchmont Post Office for 33 years where he received many awards and honors for good service. He was a volunteer firefighter at the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department for many years. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and enjoyed spending time at the casino. Louis is survived by his wife Nora, his daughter Wendy of New Rochelle, NY, his brother Sam (Joyce) of Mamaroneck, NY and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Teresa, his brother Joseph, his sister-in-law Cynthia, and his sister Frances. Funeral services will be held at Saints John and Paul Church on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY. Visitation will be held at Fox Funeral Home on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
