Obituary of Theresa Hunter

Theresa E. Hunter passed peacefully and surrounded by family in her home in Larchmont on July 8, at age 95.

Theresa was born June 7, 1928 in Hoboken, NJ to Agnes (Dolan) Lenihan and John Lenihan. She was the youngest of 4 children and the only American-born in her Irish immigrant family. Raised primarily in New York City, she graduated from Cathedral High School in Manhattan.  Married for 58 years to William Hunter (d. 2009), she was a dedicated mother to her 5 children.

Theresa is survived by her children Elizabeth Hunter, Anne MacArtney (Ken), Bill Hunter (Julie), Leslie Farina (Jeff), and Maura Templeton (David), 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday July 12 at Sts. John and Paul Church in Larchmont, NY at 11:00am.
