With heavy hearts and endless gratitude for the time we shared, we celebrate the life of Frankie Gonzalez, who passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on October 25, 1963, Frankie lived a life defined by love, loyalty, creativity, family, and the meaningful relationships he built with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Frankie’s name originated from his father’s nickname. Throughout his life, there were many debates about the authenticity of his name, but his mother, Anna, always made sure everyone knew that he was Frankie—not Frank, not Francis, but Frankie. It was a name chosen with love that became uniquely his and perfectly captured the warmth, individuality, and spirit of the man he would become.

Frankie understood that the greatest treasures in life were the people beside him. He found his greatest joy in the connections he shared, the time spent together, and the love that surrounded him. Frankie had a special gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Whether through a conversation, a helping hand, or simply his presence, he made those around him feel like family.

At the center of Frankie’s life was his soulmate, Susan Delanno. Susan was his greatest companion, and together they created a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, cherished moments, and unwavering devotion to one another.

Frankie shared a special bond with his mother, Anna. He was not only a loving son but also a devoted caregiver who was always there to support her. One of the many thoughtful traditions that reflected his love was bringing Anna scratch-off lottery tickets every week. This simple gesture exemplified his generosity, affection, and desire to bring joy to someone he loved so deeply.

Frankie’s creativity and passion touched many lives. He was the proud owner and designer of Kitchens by Frankie, a highly respected design firm where he shared his remarkable artistic vision and talent. He was admired not only for his design expertise but also for the passion, imagination, and personal touch he brought to every project.

Frankie’s creativity extended beyond design into the world of theater and entertainment. He was an accomplished Off-Broadway actor and appeared in television and film, including Law & Order and the film It’s Complicated. Frankie embraced every opportunity to express himself and share his talents with others, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and courage.

Frankie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to barbecue, bringing people together around good food, laughter, and conversation. He also enjoyed fishing. Many will remember Frankie riding his bike to Red Bridge in Larchmont, enjoying peaceful moments by the water, and embracing the quiet joy of being outdoors.

Frankie is survived by his beloved Susie; his parents, Anna Gonzalez and Efrain Gonzalez; his siblings, Elga Maldonado, Alvin (Melissa) Gonzalez, Migdalia Rosa, and Leeann Doomes; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

The family will receive visitors on August 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 1806 Palmer Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538. All who wish to pay their respects are welcome.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont, New York, on August 4, 2026. Family and friends will gather to honor Frankie’s life, share cherished memories, and celebrate the love, creativity, and joy he brought into the world.
