Eugene Smith Fiske Jr., 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Born on January 4, 1951, at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, New York, Eugene was the son of Eugene Smith Fiske Sr. and Josephine Randel.

He graduated from the New York School of Technology and devoted his entire professional career to serving Westchester County. He was respected for his dedication, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to public service.

Eugene was the proud father of Melissa and Scott and a loving grandfather to Chloe, Jayden, Mason, Hailey, and Emilia. He was especially excited to welcome another grandchild, as his beloved daughter-in-law, Michelle, is expecting in September—an occasion he eagerly anticipated with great joy.

He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Lindgren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

After retiring, Eugene enjoyed traveling with his lifelong companion, Patrice Caso. Together, they created many treasured memories exploring places they loved. Maine held a special place in Eugene's heart. He delighted in its rugged coastline, fresh lobster, and peaceful beauty. He embraced life with gratitude and often said he felt blessed to have lived such a wonderful life.

Those who knew Eugene will remember him as a kind, compassionate, and gentle man whose warmth touched everyone around him. He was also a grateful friend of Bill W., finding strength, fellowship, and purpose through that community for many years.

Eugene's legacy is one of love, integrity, humility, and quiet generosity. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
