A child of Glasgow, Scotland, raised during World War II, Doreen came to America alone, at the age of 19, and in 1953 landed in her adoptive hometown of Larchmont, where she married and raised her three children: Jeffery, Bonnie and April. She spent the next 70 plus years in a one-square mile village, overlooking the history of the place she loved most.

Her passing at 93 years, the 16th of May leaves a legacy of love as devoted mother, beloved grandmother to Kirsten and Lucas and great-grandmother to Jack and Riley, as well as cherished Addison street neighbors and friend to all cats.

Sweet, resilient, funny, the indomitable Doreen was herself to the very end, She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
