Mary Catherine (Quinn) Bohan, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026 in Coconut Creek, Florida. She was 89. Born July 25, 1936 in New York City, Mary was raised in Morristown NJ until her mother’s untimely death before Mary’s 8th birthday, at which time her father, Daniel J. Quinn, joined his three sisters at their family’s residence in Hoboken. Raised by her three aunts, Helen, Madeleine and Mary Quinn, Mary attended St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City before earning a BA in English at the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY in 1957.

While at the Mount, Mary met and later married her husband Joseph P. Bohan, Jr. on June 28, 1958, remaining faithful and loving companions to one another until Joe’s passing in 2011 following a long illness. Mary is survived by her children, Joseph (Deborah) of Milford, CT, Daniel (Austin) of Pompano Beach, FL, Kerry (James) of Moultonborough, NH, and Justin (Maura) of Briarcliff Manor, NY, and by her beloved grandchildren, Quinn, Aidan, Ryan and Connor.

After initially residing in Greenwich Village and Stuyvesant Town in New York City, Mary and Joe moved to Larchmont in 1964, quickly becoming active in the community; joining St. Augustine Church, Rotary, and Horseshoe Harbor and Larchmont Yacht clubs. Mary was a proud resident of Larchmont for 58 years and made a career showcasing her community, beginning in 1977, when she joined the Larchmont real estate office of Sally B. Keys as an agent. Mary remained active in property sales in Larchmont and surrounding communities for more than 30 years.

A funeral mass for Mary Bohan will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 10am at St. Augustine Church, 18 Cherry Avenue in Larchmont, NY, followed by a burial service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY and a celebration of life at the home of Justin and Maura Bohan.
