Obituary of Inesa Ferraro

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Inesa Ferraro, who was born on July 16, 1956, in the Bronx. Inesa was a thoughtful, studious child whose quiet determination and kindness were evident from an early age. She is survived by her sister, Maddi Dudley (Rocky Dudley, Husband, Michelle Arnold, Daughter, Philip Dudley, Son),  brother Michael Ferraro (Sharon Ferraro, Wife, Nicole Ferraro, Daughter), brother Sal Ferraro (Elisa Brown, Partner, Jake Ferraro and Ben Ferraro, Sons)  and brother, Robert Ferraro (Denise Chastain, Wife). She was predeceased by our parents, Salvatore Ferraro, Sr and Rose C Ferraro.

She grew up in Larchmont, New York, where she excelled academically and graduated from Mamaroneck High School, with a Regents Diploma, in 1974, earning several local scholarships. As a young teen, Inesa served as a camp counselor at Memorial Park, in Larchmont, helping children with arts and crafts and showing an early gift for patience and care. She went on to attend Iona College, completing her Undergraduate Studies in 1979, with a double major, in Sociology and Education.

While in college, Inesa worked at the Larchmont Movie theatre, balancing her studies with responsibility and independence. She deeply enjoyed spending time with friends and family and treasured simple joys—days at the beach, bowling nights, and attending concerts. Those close to her knew her as a kind soul with a heart of gold.

Inesa pursued a career in education, working as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Hudson Country Montessori School in New Rochelle, where she supported young learners with gentleness and dedication. Outside of work, she remained close to her family, bowling on the “Brothers and Sisters” team at Loyal Inn Bowl, in New Rochelle. She also continued to work (and was promoted to) Assistant Manager at the Larchmont Movie Theatre and then worked at the Golden Shoestring in Larchmont, a non-profit thrift store, where she worked until 2010.

Beginning in her mid-teens, Inesa faced medical challenges that required strength, perseverance, and support from both professionals and her family. Through organizations such as Search for Change and St. Vincent’s Hospital, she worked diligently to re-establish herself and continued forward with quiet resilience.

Inesa was married to Gary Kling from 1997 to 2000. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her family, who stood beside her with love and care.

Inesa will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness toward others, and the love she shared so freely. Her presence, though soft-spoken, left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

The family will always be grateful for the doctors and health care professionals that made a difference in her care: Dr. Joseph Macaluso, MD, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Roberta Lieber, FNP-BC, White Plains Hospital, Dr. Richard Saitta, Nephrologist, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, Felisha Hamilton and Claretta Bennett-Walcott from A & A Staffing and to the compassionate nurses and staff at Hudson Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
