Obituary of Annette Treacy
Annette Caricato Treacy, of Larchmont, NY, passed away peacefully on December 16th. Born on July 3, 1938, in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Lucy Caricato. Annette attended Hunter College, where she met her husband, the love of her life, James Francis Treacy. They married on August 18th, 1962. She began her career as a teacher before choosing to dedicate herself fully to raising her six children in Larchmont, New York—a role she embraced with love, patience, and unwavering commitment.
Annette was a loving, kind, and generous woman whose life was devoted to her family, her faith, and her community. Together, Annette and James built a home filled with love, warmth, and faith. James predeceased her in August 2000 after 38 years of marriage, and she carried his memory with her always.
She is survived by her six children: Mary (Haviland), Peter, Paul, Ann (Rushe), James, and John. She was a devoted grandmother to her eight cherished grandchildren: Milo, Brinsley, Dylan, Aster, Luke, Aiden, Lainey, and Brooke, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Her beloved sister, Maria Caricato, also survives her.
A woman of deep faith, Annette was devoted to St. Augustine’s Church, where she spent many years volunteering and serving her parish community. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life and a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.
Annette also loved to travel and treasured time spent with her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generosity of heart, and quiet strength. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends may join the family for visiting hours at John J Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont from 3-6pm on Sunday, December 21st. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Monday, December 22nd at St Augustine’s Church, 8 Cherry St, Larchmont, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
