Daniel William Chesnard, of Peekskill, New York passed away peacefully on October 29 th. Born on October 29, 1945, he lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and love for his family.

Daniel was the beloved husband of Winifred Chesnard, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life, filled with love and family memories. He was a proud father to Colleen (Edward) Croce and Erin (James) Trapasso, and a cherished grandfather to Collin and Cassidy Croce, and Ryan and Casey Trapasso.

He is predeceased by his brother Thomas Chesnard, and survived by his brother Terence (Cathy) Chesnard, along with 7 nieces and nephews and friends.

Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later built a long and successful career as a field engineer for NCR, where his dedication and technical expertise earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, He was a certified scuba diving instructor many years ago, an avid golfer, and a constant presence on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s sporting events, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on.

In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, there will be no wake or formal funeral services. He will be cremated, and a memorial Mass in his honor will be held at a later date.
