My deepest condolences go out to Monsignor's entire family! I will always remember the time when I was studying to become an altar boy and Fr. Walter tested me on my Latin by asking me to recite the "Quia tu es, deus" prayer from the Mass. I was relieved when I didn't stumble as I did not want to disappoint him. I was also deeply moved by his eloquent sermons at the Funeral Masses he celebrated for my parents. Fr. Walter was always a blessing and an inspiration in my life as my godfather and close cousin. God bless you, Fr. Walter!
