Obituary of Marcy T. Lekagul

Marcy T. Lekagul

March 20, 1967 – July 1, 2025

With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marcy Lekagul, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on July 1, 2025, after a courageous and dignified battle with Huntington's Disease.

Born on March 20, 1967, in Mount Kisco, New York, Marcy was raised in the quiet charm of Mahopac where she made lifelong memories and friendships and spent her high school years in Mamaroneck. Marcy's intellect and drive led her to Cornell University, where she graduated from the prestigious Industrial Labor Relations College. It was there, while navigating the world of academia, that she met Ninat (Frog)—her soulmate and lifelong companion.

Marcy’s professional career spanned ten years at Metro-North, where she served with steadfast dedication in labor relations. Her role managing multiple union relationships was a testament to her diplomatic nature, compassion, and tireless commitment to her colleagues.

In life, Marcy’s greatest joy came from her family. Together with Frog, she created a loving home, adopting two children, Nicole and Noah, who held her heart completely. Their bond was unbreakable, and Marcy poured love into every moment spent with them. Whether they were exploring the serene Adirondacks, savoring the coastal beauty of New England, visiting family in Germany, or embracing the vibrant culture of Thailand, Marcy reveled in the beauty of family travel and adventures. She also cherished watching Nicole's dance recitals and performances, as well as Noah's soccer and Tae Kwon Do practices.

Marcy was a woman who met every challenge with quiet resilience and optimism. Even in the face of Huntington's Disease, she never once complained. Instead, she approached her life with dignity, kindness, and the kind of presence that touched everyone around her.

Marcy is predeceased by her mother, Veronika, and her sister, Aimee. She is survived by her father, Joel, her sister, Lisa, her loving husband, Frog, her deeply loved children, Nicole and Noah, a large extended family, including Lorraine, Scott, Kris, Bria, Mike, Carlene, Carter, Eleonore, Regina and Andreas as well as her friends Cathy, Margaret and Irma.

Marcy’s life was a testament to love, family, resilience, and radiant optimism. She will be forever remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and the strength with which she lived. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her courage will continue to uplift all who were fortunate enough to call her a part of their lives.

A celebration of Marcy’s life will be held on July 6, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Mary and Jim White HD Unit at Archcare at Terence Cardinal Cooke where Marcy resided.
