Obituary of Eugene P. Lee

March 5, 1945 - June 3, 2025

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Eugene P. Lee.

Gene was born in Mamaroneck, NY on March 5, 1945.  Raised in Larchmont, NY, he graduated from Salesian High School in 1963.  Upon graduating, he enlisted in the Marines and proudly served in Vietnam from 1963-1967. He returned from Vietnam to continue serving his community by working for the Larchmont Post Office for over 39 years. A friendly face in the community, he loved to chat, and was endeared by all.  He met his wife of fifty years, Gloria, who immigrated to the US from Colombia, on a blind date.  Gene and Gloria raised their only child, Patricia, in Larchmont.  In 2005, Gloria and Gene retired to West Palm Beach, Florida and lived there for thirteen happy years.  In 2018, they relocated to Somers, NY to be closer to their daughter, son in law, grandchildren and Memorial Sloan Kettering, so Gloria could have the best care for her lung cancer.  Gloria passed away on October 2, 2021, and now Gene is reunited with his bride.

Gene is survived by his daughter Patricia Lee Ball (Christopher Ball) and his beloved grandchildren Ryan and Kaylee, all of Somers, NY.  He is survived by his sister Dale Bartoli (nee Guarino) of Michigan.  He was predeceased by both his parents Catherine (nee Crowley) and Gaetano (Tom) Guarino. He was also predeceased by his siblings Catherine Patricia (nee Lee) Cox, Charles (Chip) Guarino and Gary Guarino. Gene had numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews who he loved dearly.  

Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. 2080 Boston Post Road Larchmont, NY.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Gene on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sts. John & Paul Church in Larchmont. Gene will be laid to rest alongside his wife Gloria at Assumption Cemetery in Cortland, NY.  He is now at peace.  He leaves behind a legacy of love.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
