Carlena Yvonne Madden, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025. Born in St. Mary, Jamaica, on September 26, 1949, Calena lived a life filled with love, resilience, and service to others.

Alongside her late husband, Patrick Madden, she co-owned and operated a successful furniture manufacturing business in Jamaica. After migrating to the United States, she worked in retail in New York before retiring in Westfield, Massachusetts, where she spent her later years surrounded by the family she cherished.

Carlena’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is lovingly survived by her mother, Delmar; her three devoted daughters, Debbie, Natalie, and Karene; her cherished son-in-law, Yves; and her six adored grandchildren, Tremayne, Jayson, Matthew, Christian, Abigail, and Laylah, along with her beloved granddaughter-in-law, Michelle. She was also deeply treasured by her extended family.

Known for her warm and generous spirit, Calena had a passion for cooking and baking, always ensuring that no one left her home hungry. She was a pillar of strength and kindness in her community, both in the Caribbean and the U.S., always giving back.

Carlena’s unwavering love, generosity, and devotion to her family and community will be deeply missed but forever cherished. Her legacy of kindness and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 22, at 10:00 AM at Trinity Church in Larchmont, NY.
