Ann Tuttle Geary

Rye - Ann Tuttle Geary, a resident of Rye, NY, died peacefully on August 11, 2018, at the age of 91. She was born January 15, 1927, to Aurilla and Malcolm Tuttle in New Orleans, LA, and spent most of her life in New Rochelle, and Larchmont, NY. After attending the Thornton Donovan School and New Rochelle High School, Ann matriculated to the University of Vermont where she was a member of the women's ski team and Kappa Alpha Theta. She received her B.S degree in Home Economics in 1948.

Ann married Donald D. Geary, on June 10, 1950, and together they raised three daughters, and delighted in their 4 grandchildren. She was an avid tennis player, sailor, and skier, and loved spending time on Cape Cod with her family. A longtime member of St. John's Church in Larchmont, Ann was the first woman to be called as Senior Warden, and started the Pastoral Care program. She was instrumental in working to open a group home in Larchmont, and was a member of the Junior League of Larchmont for many years. Always warm and gracious, she loved opening her home to friends and family.

Ann is survived by her sister Ellen Snyder of Englewood, CO, her three daughters, Laura Winston (David Bleich) of Scarsdale, NY, Pam Dahlkamp (David) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Cici Grove (Vince) of Concord, MA, four grandchildren, Michael King (Melanie), Liz Williams (Matt), Kathryn Grove, and Eric Grove, two step grandchildren, Brian Bleich (Susan Shirley), and Katherine Bleich, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Don.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at St. John's Church, 4 Fountain Square, Larchmont, NY at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Brewster Conservation Trust (brewsterconser vationtrust.org), or St. John's Church, 4 Fountain Square, Larchmont, NY 10538.
